About Therapy For Therapists UK

About Us...

Therapy for Therapists UK provides individual therapy for therapists and trainee therapists in the UK. We offer a structured referral and allocation process designed to support clarity, appropriate matching, and professional boundaries.

The service is intended for reflective, developmental therapy and is not a crisis or risk service. All therapeutic work is provided by independent therapists within their own private practices and ethical frameworks.

Our aim is to offer a calm, professional route into therapy for those working therapeutically, without unnecessary complexity or explanation.

Our Services

Therapy for Therapists UK provides individual therapy specifically for therapists and trainee therapists based in the UK.

Therapy is offered by experienced, independent practitioners working within their own private practices and professional frameworks. Referrals are allocated through a structured process to support appropriate matching and clarity from the outset.

Therapeutic Approaches

Therapists within the referral network work across a range of established therapeutic approaches, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Person-Centred Therapy
  • Integrative Therapy

This allows for work that may be structured, exploratory, or integrative in nature, depending on the therapist’s approach and the focus of the work.

Independent Practice

All therapists involved are self-employed practitioners. This means that:

  • therapy is provided within the therapist’s own private practice
  • therapists hold full clinical, ethical, and legal responsibility for their work
  • contracting, supervision, and professional accountability sit with the individual therapist.

Therapy for Therapists UK acts as a referral and allocation point and does not provide clinical oversight.

Session Fees

Fees are set to reflect both professional standards and accessibility across career stages:

  • £70 per session with qualified therapists
  • £35 per session with trainee or student counsellors and therapists

Once allocated, sessions are booked and paid for directly with the therapist.

Remote Sessions

All sessions are conducted remotely, allowing therapy to take place in a setting that is accessible, private, and manageable alongside professional commitments.

Scope of the Service

This service is intended for reflective, developmental individual therapy.
It is not a crisis, emergency, or risk-management service and does not provide supervision.

Accessing Therapy

Referrals are made via an online enquiry form and are reviewed for suitability and allocation. Where appropriate, referrals are allocated within a defined timeframe.

The Growth of Our Company

Therapy for Therapists UK was founded by Kirsten Perry, in response to a clear and recurring need within the profession.

Kirsten qualified as a therapist in 2011, following training that began in 2008. Since then, she has worked across both private and voluntary sector settings, developing a broad understanding of therapeutic work in practice and the varying contexts in which therapists operate.

Alongside her clinical work, Kirsten has been involved in the training and development of counsellors and therapists, delivering counselling training and workplace wellbeing programmes. This work has offered sustained insight into the pressures, responsibilities, and professional isolation that can accompany therapeutic roles at different career stages.

The development of Therapy for Therapists UK grew out of this experience. The intention was not to create a large practice or supervisory structure, but a clear, ethical route into individual therapy for therapists — one that recognises the complexities of the role and avoids unnecessary explanation, role confusion, or blurred responsibility.

The service has been designed to grow carefully and deliberately, prioritising clarity of process, professional autonomy, and ethical boundaries. As the referral network develops, these principles continue to guide decisions about structure, participation, and scope.

Therapy for Therapists UK remains focused on providing a contained and transparent service that reflects the standards and expectations of the profession it serves.
